Traditional violin and piano students begin with a note reading method book.
Traditional Method books are carefully sequenced for note-reading development and students are encouraged to continue to improve reading through these books as they move into the materials for Royal Conservatory Exams of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Taking exams is of course completely optional.
